About Our Elders
The Presbyterian Reformed Church at Epping is governed by four elders [including our minister], together with three deacons. All office bearers must adhere to the Westminster Confession of Faith of 1647, (with some small admendments). The Church encourages the ministry of all members.
The Minister (or Teaching Elder) is the Rev. Dr. Arthur Adams who, before his call to Epping, served as a missionary in the Fiji Islands for 13 years. During this period, he served on the Faculty of the Fiji College of Theology and Evangelism as Academic Dean and lectured in Systematic Theology and Old Testament. As well as lecturing, Arthur was involved in planting an indigenous church and training its own elders. He also has lectured and preached in Cook Islands, Tonga and New Zealand, as well as Australia.
Rev. Dr. Adams has been a teaching elder of the Epping congregation since March 2005 and also serves as Principal of John Knox Theological College, the training institution of the Presbyterian Reformed Church of Australia.
